Origin

Neem oil has many benefits when it comes to skin, hair, and body care. It can be used to:

  • Ease eczema, psoriasis, & dandruff symptoms
  • Heal acne, cuts, & wounds
  • Relieve dry & itchy skin & scalp
  • Anti-aging properties
  • fights fungus
  • helps with healthy hair & scalp, & aides hair growth
  • reduces frizz & split ends
  • Repels bugs, & more

Oleavine
Oleavine's neem oil is therapeutic and cosmetic grade quality and it's 100% natural & cold pressed, includes no synthetic fragrance, preservative free, paraben free, petroleum free, phthalate free, sulfate free, cruelty free, gluten free, & solvent free. Its only ingredient is neem oil. It can be bought, here or here

My Experience
I decided to use this neem oil with bentonite clay as a hair treatment intended to detox my hair and scalp while the neem helped nourish my dry scalp at the same time. I first mixed up the clay with water, then I added the neem oil and some frankincense essential oil to mask the smell.

As I let the mixture sit, I washed my scalp (not the length of my hair) and then applied the mixture onto my hair and scalp in 4 separate sections to make it easier. P.s.-this is messy!

I let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes, rinsed very well, then deep conditioned my hair since bentonite clay can leave curly hair feeling a little dry.

My Experience
The neem oil was a great addition to my bentonite clay detox. It helped to make my hair softer than usual and helped to nourish my dry scalp without irritating it. My scalp has been looking much better; it's not as dry and flaky, and it actually looks good after several days. This neem oil has definitely helped to improve my scalps health and appearance with added softness.

BeautyOils.Co Camellia Oil

  • Beautyoils.co is a company based in California that sells all natural beauty oils. They have many different oils, including the Camilla oil, that can be used on hair and skin.Their Camilla oil can be bought on Amazon or on their website.
  • Camilla oil is an oil that originates in Japan that is full of great nutrients such as:
-Omega-9 Fatty Acids: controls moisture in hair and softens hair and skin.
-Polyphenols: enhancing skin cell and hair growth and protects against UV rays.
-Vitamin E: improves skin regeneration and anti-aging and promotes hair growth
-Plant Collagen: anti-aging effects on skin and strengthens hair
-Proteins: the building blocks of cells, promotes cell regeneration

Camilla oil can penetrate skin and seal hair while providing the above nutrients leaving your hair and skin very healthy.

This oil is 100% natural, cold pressed to preserve the quality, fragrance free, preservative free, and cruelty free.

My Experience

This oil is beneficial for both skin and hair, but I used it mainly for my hair. It has a very light, smooth consistency and it's not greasy at all. It leaves both my skin and hair looking very healthy.

  • On hair: I have long, fine, curly hair, so frizz and lack of moisture can be a problem. This oil helps to seal moisture into my hair, which makes my hair hydrated and healthier. It also smooths down my frizz allowing my curls to look more defined. I have fine hair that can get weighed down easily, but this oil caused no buildup problems. Overall, it leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy and feeling silky and soft. On the picture to the right, I added a little bit of oil to smooth down the frizz on my flat ironed (but wavy) hair.
  • On skin: I have combination, acne prone skin, but I don't avoid using oils on my face, I actually make sure I use oils on my face. This oil absorbs perfectly into my skin; it doesn't sit on my skin at all. It leaves my face feeling very soft and polished; it also leaves my skin glowing.

Regenepure Intense Volumizing Conditioner

After trying out Regenepure's Hair & Scalp Treatment, I got to try out their Intense Volumizing Biotin Conditioner. This conditioner utilizes biotin, which is essential to hair strength and health, and other nutrients to the scalp to help promote thicker, fuller, healthier hair and hair growth. This conditioner is paraben, sulfate, and fragrance free. You can get this product, here.

  • Key Ingredients:

-Biotin: induces thicker, fuller hair
-Aloe: Soothes scalp
-Hydrolyzed Keratin: Keratin is a protein that strengthens hair and bonds to damaged hair
-Hydrolyzed Wheat & Silk Protein: These proteins are great for helping to strengthen hair
-Saw Palmetto: Helps prevent hair loss
-Jojoba Oil:jojoba oil is similar to our natural sebum and absorbs into scalp and provides the scalp with nutrients.
-Tea Tree Oil: this oil is great for the scalp. It unclogs follicles and fights fungus.

*There are many more great ingredients, so here are the honorable mentions: Sweet Almond Oil, Horsetail Extract, Chamomile Extract, Lavender Oil, Peppermint Oil, Sage Extract, Thyme Extract, and Copper Tripeptide.

My Experience

This conditioner has  a very smooth creamy blend and a minty scent. It applied smoothly to wet hair and I left it on for about 30 minutes with a cap covering my head (without heat) in order to get better results. It made it easier for me to detangle my hair, and I didn't notice as much shedding and breakage as I usually do. It rinsed out easily and left my hair looking shiny and moisturized. I immediately noticed that my roots were fuller and my hair had more volume to it than it usually does after conditioning. I have fine hair that lacks volume and this helped to make my thin hair look thicker, even though it was wet. I've been really impressed with this conditioner and it's effect on my hair and scalp. The ingredients are great and the consistency is great. This is an overall great conditioner that I would recommend to anyone.

Regenepure Hair & Scalp Treatment

This gentle shampoo is a hair and scalp treatment that is supposed to reduce hair fall/loss, stimulate growth, increase volume, and fight dandruff. It is sulfate and paraben free, and there are no harsh chemicals. This can be bought, here.

  • Ingredients:
There are many different ingredients, but I want to highlight a few.

-Ketoconazole (1%): helps fight hair loss by stopping DHT, which causes hair loss and thinning. It also fights dandruff due to it's anti-fungal properties.
-Aloe: soothes scalp
-Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate: a very gentle cleansing agent.
-Niacin (Vitamin-B3): increases scalp stimulation. which increases growth.
-Saw Palmetto: helps prevent hair loss
-Hydrolyzed Wheat Proteins: protein is essential to hair and increases its strength.
-Emu oil: helps to increase stimulation and reduces hair loss
-Jojoba oil: jojoba oil is similar to our natural sebum and absorbs into scalp and provides the scalp with nutrients.

*Honorable mentions: spearmint oil, castor oil,  and lemon oil - they are all great for your scalp and hair.

My Experience

The actual shampoo has a blueish/greenish color and it smells like spearmint, thanks to the spearmint oil in the ingredients list. The consistency is the same as a normal shampoo, but it's a little creamier and smoother. I left it on my scalp for about 5 minutes (like the directions say) and it had a nice cooling effect on my scalp. It lathered very nicely, and it left my hair a little stiff, but not too stripped like harsher shampoos do. My hair and scalp was very clean and fresh after washing with this. I don't have a dandruff problem, but I do have a dry, flaky scalp problem and it can be hard to completely get rid of scalp build up even with harsh shampoos. I followed with conditioner and a leave-in as I always do. This shampoo did a great job at removing the residue from my scalp. It left my scalp looking clean, flake free, buildup free and healthy. As for the growth and hair loss aspect, I believe that will take time and proper care to work, but after multiple uses, I've noticed less shedding and fuller roots. This helped to add some volume to my fine curls that can get weighed down easily, which is a huge plus. Overall, this is a great product that seems so work very well.

Everyone's hair is different so not everyone will have the same experience. I'm a Tomoson blogger and I received this product at a discount in exchange for my own, honest opinion.

Knight Visor Driving Glasses

These are polarized night vision glasses made for driving at night, and for athletes that exercise at night. These glasses help to reduce nighttime glare from headlights and other reflective surfaces. They are also supposed to help you to maintain focused on the road. They can be bought, here.

These came with a case for the glasses, a cloth, a protective bag, a visor clip, and a tester card.

The case is very sturdy and spacious. It provides great protection and easy carrying for the glasses. The cloth gets rid of dust and prints very easily and smoothly. The bag is convenient for tighter storage while still protecting the glasses from scratches.

The clip helps to let these hang on the visor in your car for quick and easy access.
The clip attaches to any visor easily.
This is a great addition since it's very convenient and useful.

The left picture is without the glasses, and the right picture is with the glasses.  With the polarized lenses, you can see a fish jumping out the water. This tester card helps to prove that the lenses are polarized.

  • Overall Review
These glasses have a very nice, stylish design, and they fit nicely on my face. They are very sturdy and durable, and they can handle any fall without worrying about them breaking. They feel super light; I can barely feel them on my face, which is usually a problem for me when wearing any glasses. This package came with some great, useful stuff.

Driving at night has always been a problem for me, mainly because of the glare of the headlights from other cars. These help to drastically reduce the glare and allows me to drive much easier. I feel much more comfortable driving with these on at night and I would recommend them to anyone.

InstaNatural Scar Gel review

InstaNatural Scar gel is a scar remover that removes old and new scars. It fades the scars in color over time using advanced ingredients including; EGF(Epidermal Growth Factor), Fucoxanthin, Astaxanthin, Green Tea, and Gotu Kala. It doesn't contain any harmful ingredients like parabens, alcohol, or sulfates. You can get it, here, or get more info on the company, here.

My Use
I decided to use this on a scar that I have on my left ankle. It's been there for about 2 years and it's pretty dark but not deep. I apply a thin layer to this scar on my ankle twice a day (after every shower).

Results
I've used this about twice a day for about a month and I've noticed a lightening and softening effect on the scar. It feels softer and smoother, and looks lighter than before. Here's a before & after pic.

I didn't notice that much of a difference in the lightening until I saw the pictures. There was a noticeable difference(when looking at pics) in as little as 1  month, which is great because I didn't expect to see such a result that soon.

Review
This has a very easy to use pump that's very convenient. The scar gel has a nice thin consistency and a nice light scent. The gel absorbs into skin very easily and quickly without leaving a residue. As for it working, it seems to do its job to lighten and soften scars.

Lipogaine Review

Lipogaine -Women's Hair Growth
Lipogaine is a liquid hair product for thinning ,hair loss, and hair regrowth. The main ingredients include Minoxidil, Biotin, Niacin, and Apple Polyphenol. These ingredients work together to help promote hair regrowth and to prevent hair loss/shedding. This also blocks DHT, which is a hormone that can restrict the hair follicles.
You can get Lipogaine here.

Included
This is a 2 oz bottle of the solution & it came with a screw-on pipette that measures up to 1 ml. The pipette is very easy to use an makes it very easy to apply the solution onto your scalp. Both the bottle and the box provide direction, warnings, & ingredients.

How to apply
Apply 1 ml to the area that needs treatment up to twice a day with at least 8 hours in between each application. Squeeze the pipette to allow the solution to get sucked up into the tube then slowly squeeze the pipette to allow the solution to drop onto your scalp.

I applied this about twice a day, sometimes I only did it once a day over a span of a little under 30 days.

My Experience
I have been noticing some slight shedding near along the sides of my hairline (pictured below) and needed some hair regrowth and less shedding in that area. I applied 1 ml of this solution to both sides. Here are the before & after pics of both sides.

I did not notice the difference until I looked at the before and after pics. Over a span of just under 30 days, I'm impressed with the results. The little hairs are  finally sprouting in the areas where hair just didn't want to grow.

  • Overall Review

The consistency is this and watery. It does have an alcohol scent when smelled straight from the bottle but I didn't smell it when I applied it. The dropper is very easy to use and helps when applying this to your scalp. At first, this made my scalp tingle and burn a little but the sides of my hairline are very sensitive and after a couple of uses, it no longer burned. This would leave a little residue on my hair and made it a little stiff but not too noticeable. The bottle lasts a good amount of time when used about twice a day. There hasn't been any irritations or problems from this and I have pretty sensitive scalp. As for this working on my scalp, I did notice little hairs finally growing in those spots where it didn't seem to want to grow, so yes, it's working for me.

I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review.

P.S.-This product may not work for everyone and works best with longer use. Be sure to check the ingredients and test a patch on your arm to see how your skin react to this product.

Isoplus Review

In this post, I'm reviewing 3 Isoplus products to see how they aid me in my straightening process to help combat my usual dryness when flat ironing my hair. The products include, Coconut Oil with Ylang Ylang, Tea Tree & Aloe Conditioner, and 24-7 Leave-In Conditioner. You can find more info on each product by visiting the link on each name. And you can check out other Isoplus products, here.

I have 3a/3b, normal-low porosity, low density, fine curls. Here is my hair before, using the products on day 3 hair.

First, I used the Tea Tree conditioner and the Coconut oil prior to shampooing with my normal sulfate shampoo.

I used the tea tree as a scalp conditioner to prevent the usual scalp dryness I get when washing with a sulfate shampoo and straightening. I parted my hair and applied the conditioner to my scalp in sections.

I used the coconut oil as a pre-poo on the length of my hair to infuse moisture, protect my hair from the sulfate shampoo, and to strengthen my hair before straightening. I was sure to coat my ends for the best protection for the most needy part of my hair.

I left in the products for about 1 hour then proceeded to wash and deep condition my hair as usual. I noticed much less breakage after I rinsed the shampoo out. Usually my hair would feel stripped and rough but not this time. I'll usually experience a lot of breakage when trying to apply conditioner but that was reduced to a few broken hairs.

After rinsing out the deep conditioner, I let my hair get mostly dry then I sprayed in the 24-7 Leave-In to used it as a heat protectant and moisturizer. I then went on to straighten my hair and I finished with silky, shiny, soft hair. :)

Overall Review

  • Coconut Oil with Ylang Ylang

I can definitely smell the ylang ylang in this and it smells nice, not too overwhelming but noticeable. The consistency feels like a grease/oil product would and it applies smoothly and is easy to coat any part of your hair. I love this as a sealer for my ends and I would have used it on my scalp if coconut oil didn't irritate my scalp. When sealing my ends, this absorbs easily and doesn't weight down my hair or look to greasy. It didn't seem to attract as much lint as I expected, which is great. I also used this on someones braids to moisturize the hair and scalp and it made their braids look shiny and their scalp looked healthy and moisturized.

  • Tea Tree & Aloe

This has a very nice, light scent and also has a grease/oil consistency. This was very easy to apply to scalp and it coated easily without needing too much. I loved this for my scalp. I've always had very dry scalp and this helped a bunch. My scalp didn't feel clogged and my hair didn't feel weighed down or dirty after a few days. I usually have a problem with itching and this did away with that, thanks to the tea tree and aloe. A lot of scalp treatments can irritate my scalp and cause a psoriasis flare up but this didn't irritate me at all. It was very soothing and added much needed shine to my roots.

  • 24/7 Leave-In
This leave-in has a nice soapy smell and a thin, watery consistency. It sprays out evenly onto hair without leaving a sticky feeling and doesn't even weigh down my super fine hair. It's super light and it added moisture to my hair without making it hard. It made my hair feel soft and fluffy. This is great to use as a heat protectant or under another product.

New Dove Quench Line

Thanks to the Naturally Curly review program, I got to test out 4 new, full size products (for free!) by Dove which include; Quench Absolute Shampoo, Quench Absolute Conditioner, Quench Absolute Intensive Restoration Mask, and Quench Absolute Supreme Creme Serum. This line is specially formulated for curly hair and is made to infuse moisture into our naturally dry curls. You can also check out the line on Dove's website, here.

I have 3a/3b, low-normal porosity, fine, waist length(stretched) curls and below is my experience with these products.

  • Quench Absolute Shampoo
This smells great, nice and light, not too overwhelming, and it’s very easy to use. The bottle design makes it easy to get the shampoo out. This is very smooth and creamy and it has a rich lather that i really like and it gets rid of buildup on scalp and hair easily and gentle enough. It left my hair feeling a tiny bit stripped but still a little moisturized, it didn't strip my hair nearly as much as other shampoos with sulfates but it gets your hair very clean which makes it a great clarifying shampoo, if that’s what you’re looking for. You can tell it infuses some moisture into your curls.

  • Quench Absolute Conditioner
This smells great and it has a very smooth, creamy consistency. It's easy and convenient to squeeze it out of the tube/bottle. It applies easily, coating my hair without being too heavy and it’s very soothing on my scalp despite the somewhat strong fragrance. It made my hair easy to de-tangle and manage but didn't make it noticeably softer. It did do a better job at softening than the mask and it seemed to be more nourishing. I feel like this did actually “nourish” and “quench” my curls and I love how the scent lingers for days. It's not a great conditioner but it is decent.

  • Quench Absolute Intensive Restoration Mask
This also smells wonderful and it’s easy to get it out of the round tub and apply yo wet hair. This is nice and rich but not too thick. It seems a little heavy but not too heavy, It’s very smooth, too. It didn't really seem to make my hair softer but it definitely seemed to add more moisture to my curls. I think this may have helped to reduce my drying time and it leaves my hair nice and shiny but with a weird, somewhat rough feeling when I run my fingers through it after I rinse it out, but that feeling goes away. It is a mask, not a deep conditioner, and you can tell the difference. I can tell it coats my hair more than it penetrates and nourishes and with that said, it's a great mask.

  • Quench Absolute Supreme Creme Serum
I absolutely love this serum. It’s easy to pump out of the bottle and it smells wonderful, light and soothing. It has a great creamy/slimy/sticky consistency that I really like and it applies soo smoothly onto my hair. It adds so much shine, moisture and silkiness and it’s very lightweight on my thin, 3b hair. It definitely reduces frizz and adds a nice fluff and volume to my hair that I love. It’s great on damp hair under other styling products. I have fine hair and I really don’t mind silicones and the silicone in this serum caused no problems. I actually had less buildup than usual, but silicones aren't for everyone, but my curls love this serum.

This is my experience with these products, your experience may vary,

Aunt Jackie's Quench Leave-In Conditioner & Don't Shrink Elongating Gel

I was chosen by Naturally Curly in their product review program to review these products for free. This is my own, honest opinion of the products. Hair type: 3a/3b, thin-normal strands, low density.

  • Don't Shrink Flax seed Elongating Curling Gel
I love the light scent and not too thin not too thick consistency it has. I didn't expect it to make my hair as hard/crunchy as it did but I have thin hair and may have applied too much, but it wasn't as crunchy as other gels I've used. This provides the best curl definition of any product I've ever used and the day after I first used it, my curls had less crunch, a lot of hold, and still well defined without having to add more gel, or anything, just some water! This is the best gel I've used so far. I'm on day 4 hair and I still don't need to add anymore product. I would recommend this to anyone with any hair type looking for a good gel with great definition. For more info, click here.

  • Quench Moisture Intensive Leave-In Conditioner
This has a light, great smell that you'll notice everywhere you go and it's not too strong. I love the thin creamy consistency and it has a nice light hold on my thin loose curls leaving them fluffy & soft. It also leaves my hair smelling fresh & clean even after day 2, 3 and 4 hair. It's the best leave-in I've used all around. It refreshes and moisturizes my hair perfectly. I would recommend this leave-in to anyone looking for a quality product. For more info, click here.
